Satu Hari....

saya nak mula memasak.

Saya bersuara "Haziq...what are you doing???"

Haziq pandang saya sambil tersengih....saya geram tapi tak jadi nak marah....

Saya pergi ke Haziq...amik lesung itu dan letakkan di dalam sinki di mana Haziq tidak boleh amik.

Saya beritau dia...ini bukan mainan okay...Ibu nak masak ni..plus this thing is dangerous...kot jatuh atas kaki Haziq kang cmner??? Haziq protes la ape lagi. Saya 'rasuah' dia dengan calciyum. Haziq gembira semula dan pergi ke ruang tamu menikmati snek baru dia itu.

Sigh....

pengajaran: jgn letak lesung batu dan biarkan anak anda di dapur lame2 sgt.kot dia pun nk masak sekali nanti hehe :P

Cerita Pasal Haziq

This blog was created so that I can jot down stories about my Haziq and also my life but somehow somewhere it got diverted. Not that I have nothing to blog about but there's so many things to tell I just don't know where to start. I'm gonna try start somewhere today.

Let's see....what's new about my boy. Haziq is now like a parrot and a sponge. He will repeat every single word I say to him, to his Ayah, to anyone. He does it quite well actually but of course a bit pelat. He learns fast anything that you teach him but as always it will depend on his mood. This I've learned to accept that at his age, staying 100% focus is not easy. So....I'm not gonna be a kiasu mommy and force him hehe..

He loves music a lot and would dance to any music that catches his ear including his Ayah's mobile ring tone. Usually during weekends we would both wake up early to watch Pingu. Haziq calls it 'Gu'. He likes the Transformers new advert and will follow the theme song and sing 'Mers' (Transformers).

He cannot stand being left alone in the living room to play by himself, while I cook in the kitchen. He will drag me to the living room to be beside him and give that kesian face, which makes it hard for me to prepare food for iftar everyday. It's a havoc I tell you in the evening. I have to be quick. Heat the pan....pour oil, Haziq comes in and drag me. I follow him and layan him for awhile to distract him. Then I rush back to put whatever I need to cook in the pan...stir...stir...Haziq is already at my legs begging me to 'tang' (dukung) him. So I carry him, bring him to the living room again...and the cycle repeats again until Hubby reach home. Hubby will resume entertaining him while I resume with my cooking. Phheewww....if I'm lucky Haziq will not come back to drag me but sometimes he wants me to be with him and his Ayah in the living room. Aiiiyyyooo......

I've been trying to potty train him during weekends. So far Alhamdulillah he knows when to tell me when he needs to pee but sometimes....haha...he just ehem ehem at any corner he feels comfortable. I try to take him to the toilet every half hour or so but sometimes I tend to forget. Never mind, I will have to try harder.' Small business' 40% trained, 'Big business' 0% trained. Haziq will only tell me he has defecated once he has finished, be it with or without his pampers. Sigh. Along way to go here. haha

His vocabs are getting wider now I think. He knows his body parts, well most of them la. I feel I am not giving him enough time to sit down and teach him. I only spend time with him few hours on weekdays in the evening and at night before he falls asleep (or I fall asleep first hihii). So that leaves me with weekends. I try to spend more time with him...talking, playing, bla bla...I try to talk to him as much as possible emphasizing on new words for him to learn. I hope this will work. Naaahh.. I don't mind at all of he's a bit behind from all those baby progress charts. I tell myself I should let him learn at his own pace so that learning will be fun for him. I don't want to have to force him so that I can tell people...Oooo Haziq can already read his ABC...Haziq can do this ...Haziq can do that....that would be so kiasu of me kan kan...of course I do blog about his progress here in this humble space of mine for my safe keeping and record and future reference :)

Ape lagi ni before I end this post haha.

Hhhmmmm...Haziq knows how to slip on his sandals, take it off, take off his pants. He has yet to learn putting on his pants. Along way to go with putting on his shirts.

He doesn't eat much which makes me a bit worried but Dr Ong said not to force him coz he will eat when he's hungry. So ok la then. Fine. He still drinks 8oz of his milk 4-5 times a day (ni satu hal..mahal sungguh susu dia skang nih. I insist we continue with this brand although the price has hiked up ridiculously...biar ler I cut down on other expenses rather than compromising what's best for Haziq...kan...kan. Lagipun dekat Giant the price is still ok compared to other supermarkets...ye betullll....)

I cannot make him put on his car seat safety belt properly. He will free both his hands himself and leave only the buckle securing his body. Aaarrggghhh...tension saya. So, I have to always be alert when in the car with him. Any idea how to make him not do that???? This is the same when it comes to sitting in his stroller. He wouldnt let us put on the harness but only the buckle securing his body. Sigh...

Tantrums??? Oooo..boy does has he tantrums. At times he can make me go bananas with his antics, at times he makes my heart melt. Tough job la weeeii being a mommy eh....but a lot of fun hehe.

I ym ed with my bestfriend's mommy last week, and she gave several tips on how to handle toddlers. She has successfully handled four mind. Hopefully I can implement some if not all of her tactics.

Ok...enough babbling from me as of this moment. Cuci mata la dgn gambar2 berikut ok. Toodles.

Do drop by and see for yourself. Too bad I don't have a daughter (yet)...hehe...if not....dah borong dah :)

Happy Engineer Month!!

To all my engineer friends.

Famous Engineers of our times:

Jack Welsh - former Chairman and CEO, General Electric Company, chemical engineer.

Amar Bose
- founder of the Bose Corp., former MIT electrical engineering professor, electrical engineer.

Neil Armstrong
- astronaut, aeronautical engineer.

Scott Adams
- cartoonist and creator of "Dilbert".

Rowan Atkinson -
British comedian, best known for his starring roles in the television series "Blackadder” and "Mr Bean”, and several films including Four Weddings And A Funeral. Atkinson attended first Manchester then Oxford University on an electrical engineering degree.

Alexander Graham Bell
, inventor of the telephone. He also worked in medical research and invented techniques for teaching speech to the deaf. In 1888 he founded the National Geographic Society.

World without engineers

But I seriously think engineers are paid peanuts...sigh (hihiiii....) : seperti nada tak bersyukur la plak kan...astaghfirullah...

Weird

this is definitely weird....

why???

because within this few weeks....i dreamt that i was pregnant.....TWICE!

i repeat...TWICE!

i remember vaguely in my dream i was super excited to feel the baby kicking inside my tummy.

Ooo TuhanKu....mainan tidur atau apakah ini? maybe syaitan yang mengganggu???eh...lupe basuh kaki and baca doa ker?

but i have to admit...as much as it was just a dream....best gak if it's true kan.

so here's what i intend to do.

  1. for the time being i'll just ignore the dream and continue with my life
  2. if...within this few weeks the dream comes back again, then i will have to seriously think about it
  3. or....hello zai.....jangan nak over....rilex la...it's just a dream

ok...maybe i got a bit paranoid. :p

ok la...nak citer tu jer.nanti i update if there is anything to update la...kalau takde then you'll know la kan... hehehe...nak wat laundry sat. toodles :)

Random Thoughts/Babblings/Grumblings

How's your Ramadhan so far?

Saya dah ponteng puasa 6 hari...huhu. In 2006 I managed to fast the whole month...preggie kan at that time. Bliss :)

It's been very tiring these few days. Is it the weather...or because I'm fasting or it's just the age factor? Beats me. I think it's the fasting month. Can't be the age factor coz I'm still young (at heart for sure!) .hehe.

This entry has no hala tujuan coz I just felt like babbling.

Been cooking everyday for iftar and now I'm out of ideas of what to cook. Any ideas guys? I already have a menu in mind for tonight. I'm preparing lamb chop, mashed potatoes and veges for iftar tonite. Yummy...Anyone know how to make good mint sauce. Still struggling to get it right. Don't know why can't get the same taste as Han's mommmy does it. Sigh.

This year Raya will be celebrated at IL's place first. Sedih. Well not really la. It's Hubbs turn this year to be with his family first. We take turns each year so i think its fair enough. Maybe on the evening of second raya or morning third raya we'll head for Ipoh. Can't wait for that.

I still haven't done any raya shopping. I need to buy something for my parents, ILs,my youngest brother, Haziq's babysitter and family and also for myself and Hubby. Probably Haziq will only need a new pair of shoes. He has bundles of new clothes that he has yet to wear which I got for him when I was in Norway. So that settles one thing. I just need a matching tudung to go with my baju kurung and a new telekung. Hubby needs....eeerrr...alamak. I can't remember what he said he needs. Goodness....pelupe nyer saya ini. Balik nanti have to ask him again.

Weird...this year I haven't tempah any kuih raya. Unlike when I was in previous co, awal puasa dah ada org amik tempahan for kuih raya. ahaha. I'm not making any if you're wondering. maybe one fine day when I have my dream kitchen I'll consider baking cookies myself, until then I'll just tunjuk with my jari which kuih raya I want.... :)

Everyone has watched SATC????Am I the only who has yet to enjoy the movie? Sangat ketinggalan saya ini. I think I may need to pay a visit to Digital Mall soon. Ooooo...I miss JB. I miss that shop I frequent quite often for my supplies of the latest (clearest!) DVDs. For RM5 each. And if you buy more than 5 I think, you get one FREE!. Best kan. I think I want to pujuk Hubby to drive down to JB after raya. Not only for the DVDs but also for.....makan-banyak-tk-ingat session. I want tauhu bakar, ikan bakar and lai chi kang panas at Dataran Johor, I want soto at Kg Pasir Puteh, I want Asam Pedas and nasi lemak kukus sedap and sotong goreng tepung at Senibung.Ni mengidam ke teringin ni??? Tah ler. Heaven nyer....harap2 Hubby bersetuju nanti :)

Pasar ramadhan kat maner yg best ek? Tak pernah went to any so far. Last year somehow Hubby likes to go to the one in PJ. Yang dekat dgn masjid tu. Section bape ek? Can't remember. This year Hubbs has somehow lost the interest to jalan-jalan carik makan for buka. That could in the end mean only one thing. Saya perlu la masak hahah. Hey...I am beginning to enjoy cooking. The things is it's not that I dont know how to cook. it's just I don't like to cook. I hate the preparing the ingredients part. Potong bawang la...siang ikan la..bla...bla...bla...the cooking part is fine. Campak ajer sume lam periuk/kuali. I also hate the kemas after masak part. Leceh tul Basuh itu...basuh ini...haha. Kan bagus kalau ada maid. Then she can do that all for me. It saves my time and energy. Haha. As much as I wish that we have a maid I am actually not ready to give up on our privacy. Not yet! I'm not ready yet to have a stranger living with us. Tapi tak tau la kan...if one day we change our minds....we'll see.

Eh...it's friday today...yeeeyyy. I have plans this weekend. Gonna visit a friend who just gave birth to her second daughter. Then gonna take Haziq for his haircut, then need to buy groceries, the gonna accompany Hubbs to visit his friend who is in ICU (scary ok!). We heard that he has some kind of infection in his body and now in coma. I was shocked upon hearing this coz I know this guy quite well even way back when Hubbs and I was still courting. Only we haven't met him for quite sometime. Please pray for him okay.

Woww...I can't believe I've written this much. I think if there's a device that can automatically transfer all my inner thoughts without having me to type it out using my cute long fingers(haha...pasan tahap gaban), you'd get a lengthy entry than this haha...

Toodles dearies...zai now has to resume with her work...aarrgghhh....kena ngadap lagi itu analysis ....somebody put a bullet in my head.... :p

Bali Trip

Hello peeps...this is the Bali entry that I promised quite sometime ago.

Phhheeewwww. 5 days and 4 nights there was heaven. I was very nervous prior to the trip coz it was the first time Haziq will travel by plane and I seriously do not know what to expect/anticipate from him. Although both Hubby and I have already foresee that we will not have any peace and quiet because the little tyke will surely want to move around. Yes. That's exactly what happened. Thank God that we took a seat for him instead of trying to save some moolah and make him seat on my or hubby's lap. Overall, Haziq was fairly behaved haha. He even made 'friends' with the Korean boy sitting behind us.

We left LCCT at about 11ish and reached Bali at 1440 hrs. Our tourist guide Pak Made was already waiting for us and from there we headed to Kintamani. We skipped the Kecak dance because I dont think it was a good idea as they start to perform at 6.30pm. We had an early dinner instead at Jimbaran. One word for Jimbaran : magnificent! Imagine having dinner by the beach and then watch the sun set. Bliss. We settled down for the night after that to rest and start our tour the next day. We stayed at Kuta Beach Resort and I think we made the right choice to stay here coz it's so convenient. It's walking distance to their famour Matahari Mall (the one that was damaged by that infamous bomb incident several years ago. Our tourist guide infact showed us the location where it happened. Takut gak ok). From our hotel we could also just walk to Kuta Beach, Hard Rock Cafe and lotsa branded shop outlet. I'll feast you with some of the pictures taken there as usual (from moi D80).

Hi ya all...this is my 1st air ride...yippieee... :)

Kintamani

Sunset at Jimbaran

One of the temples...hehe...I seriously cant remember which one :p

Sunset at Kuta Beach

Notice there's no pictures of sunrise but sunset here...hehe...bangun lmbt nak tgk sun rise ape nyer la kan. What can I say...I love Bali. The people are very friendly and nice. Other places that we managed to go was Tanah Lot, Bedegul, Nusa Dua Beach, and....eerrr...tk ingat. More pictures posted at mukabuku ok. What we bought??? I think we managed to buy quite a lot. T-shirts for the family, beaded slippers, keychains, ehem..ehem...something for myself, and all of us got something from Hard Rock too. Haziq got his first Hard Rock Tee...hehe...spoilt I know.

Food was splendid too. It was worth the value that we paid for the package. Eh...right nowI just feel like going there just for dinner at Jimbaran and then come back haha..

We're definitely coming back one day in the future. :)

To wrap up, all of us had a great time....just the 3 of us. I love going away with my boys. :)

Toodles peeps.

A Lovely Piece

This was in my mailbox this morning and I must share this with you all. I can't help but smile while reading this and it also brought tears to my eyes.

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you best.'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AG E - Well, she might know a little bit about it!

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Shoot Me...

cause I'm a bad mommy.

I really am.

Lately Haziq has changed his sleeping routine. Before this, latest by 9 pm he would already be fast asleep and I can continue with my house chores.

But these last few days have been really challenging for me. Haziq refuses to sleep as usual but will only surrender himself close to midnite leaving me an unhappy 'zombie'.

It's fine that he wants to stay up late and play but the thing is he wants me to sit beside him and do nothing. This makes me a bit 'angry' with him because he has no idea the zillions things I have to do around that tiny place called home and I'm racing with the time. sigh. End result, you have a stressed mommy and a crying baby.

Still haven't shot me yet???

Here's more.

As much as I don't want to spoil Haziq, sometimes I bite my words. Hubby said I'm spoiling him by giving him whatever he wants. Hubby believes we should not all the time adhere to his request of playing things which are not playable for a toddler. You know how toddlers are. The things that we forbid them from playing are the things that they want.

So....Hubby's method is to ignore his crying and let him calm himself down but on the other hand I do not have the heart to see him cry. I cepat cair when Haziq give me that muka seposen look upon not getting what he wants. I also do not want to have extra work to do when Haziq starts to cough after crying and then vommit. That's why sometimes I give in and let him play with whatever he wants. Plus Hubby added that Haziq is extra 'mengada' when I'm around. MANJA!

Tell me...how do I handle a toddler refuses to sleep although it's obvious that he is extremely sleepy and who sometimes uses crying as a method to get his way.

A conversation with my Mom and another experienced Mommy this morning, they told me this :

  1. Haziq wants my/our attention that is why he starts to cry whenever he's upset about something.
  2. Mama said you have to put yourself in his position. He's been at his babysitter's place for more than 8 hours everyday and you expect him to sleep after 2-3 hours of time with you??? (darn...I'm stupid!). If he can talk he would say that he wants to spend time with you but for now he expresses his feelings through his cry for attention.
  3. If he wants to play with something, let him as long as it's not dangerous for him. Child's brain develops while exploring things around him. He will learn faster.
  4. Don't just give him toys to play with...give him lotsa love...he needs it...
  5. The housechores can wait but the precious time that you're spending with him comes only once. When he's all grown up you will miss this time (sedih part ni ok). So, if he wants you to sit beside him...sit...if he wants you to cuddle him ...cuddle...if he wants to mess your tupperware cabinet....mess with him...huhuu....most important is to capture and cherish every second with him.
  6. Relax....don't take it too hard on myself and enjoy the ride (yeah...I think I am pushing myself too much...)

I feel much better now. I just bought a book called Toddle Tactics. In it there's advice on communicating with your toddler, discipline and good manners, good eating habits, routines for play and sleep, toilet training and family dynamics. Wish me luck ok in my quest to become a better parent. :)

Relax ler Ibu... :p

Not Once But Twice...

terkantoi with moi boss surfing the net...uhuk. The thing is while waiting for my software to run and produce me with some good news I like to surf the net. I like to multi-task (kononnyer). Sometimes I'd do my internet banking while waiting. :)

This morning I just clicked the google reader and suddenly he appeared from behind "How's it going?" (FYI....he's Norwegian. Norwegians are very polite. I like). Terkejut saya. Benci betul. Time I am 110% into my work, he doesn't want to drop by, when I divert a bit there he is sneaking up behind me. Last two weeks was another incident. I was 'busy' uploading pictures from our recent trip (Hub's lappy crashed so tk leh nk wat kt umah) out of nowhere he was already standing beside me. Lam bilik dia ada CCTV ke ape? No, wait. Tak mungkin. Fortunate enough my Boss ni is also into Photography. So when he saw the 'manual' on my table. He asked me whether I own 'it' and asked if it's with me at the moment. So end up he took a chair sat beside me and was busy clicking away my ehem ehem DSLR (:p). He even showed pictures in his website from his recent cycling trip and shared some tips. Hehe... cool kan my boss. Lagipun, I kinda know that he cannot be angry with me sangat coz dia pun leh tahan gak 'multitasking' dia time2 tgh free wakakak...

Okla...nak citer tu jer. I have to jot this down so that one day when I am giving Haziq speech aka bebel on work...or about being nice to your boss or ape2 la yang related I can show him this entry.

Haziq...you can follow my footstep part multi-tasking tuh but not the kantoi with the boss part unless your boss is a Norwegian...kalau Melayu jangan nak oooiii jangan....

nak sambung wat keja (see....i told u i can multi task) hehe...kang ada plak yang diri behind me tibe2 hihiii

Zai's 'Hectic Life' In A Flash

Greetings peeps...

What have I been up to lately (not that many of you want to know hehe)???

  • We (read:moi, hubby & Haziq) just got back from our Bali trip about 2 weeks back. I will post that in another entry I promise. Overall we had a blast with minor glitch and hiccups.
  • Met up with the darques (han, nik and loady) @ Marmalade BV II last week I think to catch up with each other. Although most of the time I was busy keeping up with Haziq ha!
  • Haziq received his 18 months jab last week. He did not cry a bit at all. I was quite surprised because I was anticipating a lil' bit of drama to come along after that but hey...what do ya know. He took it like a real man. Ibu is soooo proud of you. However, it was not all happy dovey (ada ke such word ek) when at 4pm Haziq's babysitter called and told me Haziq has a temperature, refused his food, milk and kept on complaining his arm 'akit'. Hubby and I rushed back to fetch him and took him to his Pead Dr Ong in Ampang. Doctor said it could either be the injection or the diarrhea that could cause the fever. Ooo the previous day Haziq had diarrhea. Not sure what caused it. Fortunate enough his temperature was not too high 37.7C. He has slight fever so Dr Ong inserted that bullet thingy into him ehem ehem to lower down his temperature. I stayed at home the next day just to keep an eye on him. He was ok and himself again the next day Thank God :)
  • Had breakfast with Miss Olyn on Saturday at Marmalade @ BV II (again!). Conclusion from the session : Haziq needs to go on playdate and mingle around toddlers his age as frequent as possible. I noticed that sometimes Haziq doesn't know how to play together with other toddler. It's either he gets very passive and retreat from the group or he will look at me kinda like asking me what to do or he won't share his toys. Aaarrggghhh....need to help him improve his social skills la...ke am being too paranoid and over acting ha???how ler???
  • Sunday afternoon headed to Ampang to attend my exhousemate's wedding. She got married to my exofficemate, ha...what do ya know. Ini ler dikatekan jodoh kan. Anyway...congrats to Hani and Azuwan. All the best to both of you. We excused ourselves early to go to our next social commitment...Aidan's 2nd Birthday party at Dot's place in Kota Damansara. Actually we were fortunate that Haziq slept throughout the wedding and only woke up half way to Kota Damansara. So takde ler drama2 yang tidak diingini. I changed from my baju kurung to a more casual outfit in the car hahaha....serious. It was nice to meet Dotty & co though did not had the chance to chat2 with her but Dot....the party was awesome. Love the party favors. Haziq loves the ball and the whistle (cume I yg kengkadang sakit telinga haha...tp nvm as long as he's happy I'm fine with it). We went back straight after that to rest. Dinner time Hubby felt like having hot soup campur. So off we went to the nearest shop at our house. Phheewww....there....snippets of my simple(mundane?) life.

No pictures la this entry. Nanti ler ye I post some. How was your week???

p/s : ada sesape nak g wat mani and pedi...tulun....ajak ler saya ek...

Updates on the little boy

I know I haven't been updating Haziq's development here. Bad Ibu. I'm still amazed with how Haziq is nowadays. He has turned into a very curious boy always eager to find out how things work. This is good but sometimes it can really test my patience and boy do I have very limit of it. I just can't keep up with him. Everyday he learns new words either by me teaching him or he himself observing us (which makes it important that we watch what we say in front of him).

Here are some of him antics

Ibu - Ibu

Ayah - Ayah

Grandma - Ma

Grandpa - Pa

Atok - Atok

Nenek - Nek

Haziq - Ajiq

Abah - Abah (he calls his babysitter's husband Abah)

Ummi - Mi (Kak Ani.his babysitter)

Iman - Man (Haziq's cousin)

ball - ball
bird - bird

fish - ish

train - tain

baby - baby (i've been teaching him for quite sometime but he never followed until the other day when he saw the box of the gripe water, there'a a baby picture on it. Haziq pointed to the picture and said 'baby'....mak dia..of course ternganga....hahaha)

panas - anas
hot - ot
jatuh - tuh
tumpah - pah
good - gud

hot - ot

bye - baaaa
cat - yaaaauuuu

dog - dog

nose - nose

mouth - mau (haha yg ni kelakar skit)

cow - mooooo

adoi - adooohh
air - air

no - no

yes - eshh

That's all I can recall at the moment. I wish I have the opportunity to record all his progress (tapi apakan dayaku).

Haziq listens to instructions quite well be it in English or Malay, for example, Haziq..go wake Ayah up..he will into the room and kiss his Ayah and tepuk his Ayah's face, once he finishes his milk...I'll tell him go put your bottle in the sink and wipe your mouth...he will oblige but sometimes oooo sometimes it depends on his mood. I see that he now develops his own way of showing his frustrations or anger. He golekkan badan on the floor. Yes....aaarrgghhh...this is the part where I get so stressed out. Bukan main lagi tunjuk perasaan ok anak teruna ku sorang nih. Mau ajer kugigit pipi itu...ooo wait...I always do. He has temper I tell you. I'm kinda worried coz I see me in him. Short-tempered and easily irritated. I have to be extra careful and smart to tackle this one. Ooo btw, did I mention he has lost some of his baby fat. That's good but I can't help but miss that adorable chubby cheek I used to nibble and kiss everyday....sigh. When you asked him to kiss you he will give you his cheek and say muaaahhh. Hhmm..ok la tuh kan. No more saliva hehe.

I also notice that he showed interest in fast cars. The other day MIL was scrolling the TV program and stopped at a channel showing F1 race. Haziq immediately showed interest and started babbling while pointing at the TV and then talking to me. God knows what he was talking about but it was nice to see that he shows the same interest as his parents. Maybe one we'll take him to circuit. He also loves his big truck, Postman Pat van, I guess it's natural for boys to love this kind of toys kan.

Hide and seek...is one of our favorite game at home. I will go hide and he will find me but the funny part is when its his turn to hide. He will only hide his face....ye betul. Macam ostriches hide their head in the ground...my son does the similar. Ooo TuhanKu..pecah perut ketawa tengok kan si Haziq.

When he does something that makes me geram...I sometimes blurted out Ya Allah Haziq....aha...Haziq reply ape you may ask. Ya awwah ajiiiq...and kerutkan his forehead *ibu:slap forehead again and again*

I took him on his first train ride last two weeks. We took the monorail from Jln Imbi to KL Sentral to meet up with my friends. Haziq just cannot sit still. One moment he wants to stand by the window, the next he wants to stand own his own and hold the pole, next he wants to sit on my lap. Lucky there were not many people in the train. Had lunch with ex-colleagues at McD. Haziq saw the fries and immediately wanted them. Sigh...he refuses his porridge. This is not good. After this no more fast food for us. We took the cab back to Jln Imbi where I parked the car as I do not have the energy anymore to chase after Haziq running around in KL Sentral with extra two paper bags in my hands. hahaha...

From our balcony we can see the train passes-by. We would usually sit there and watch the train...Haziq will wave and say baa tain...He will quickly run outside when he hears the train just to wave at it but now it's either he's getting smarter or lazier (im hoping it's the former) that whenever he hears the train from inside our apartment, he just wave bye bye without running outside anymore and nonchalantly continue with what ever he is doing haha.

I met up with another ex-colleague last week at Great Eastern Mall. While waiting we went into the British India outlet. I was going thru the stuff with Haziq (surprisingly) willing to sit in his stroller. I asked him..Haziq...is this one pretty???cantik tak??? teeeiikkkkk....semua cantik for Haziq. Wallet Ibu kopak la if like that Haziq:p

When I hand him his milk bottle, he will say cih. Been trying to make him say thank you but so far no success yet.

When you tell him the food or drink is hot, Haziq will blow at it hehe.

So there....I've managed to jot down whatever that I can remember at the moment. One day I will let Haziq read this and hope we'll have a good laugh together :)

The Journey To The Flåm

This is a very overdue post but I must put an entry so that I won't forget this part of my life. hehe..

About 3 weeks back another two colleagues and I went here.(You could also go here). The journey took us about 9 hours I kid you not. We started from Sandefjord at about 9.30p.m and reached there around 6.30a.m the next morning. And got lost few times on the way...This place that we went is nearer to Bergen compared to Sandefjord. The temperature went as low as 2C as we drove up to the otherside of the mountains.

It was still too early to check-in into our apartment, so we took a nap in the car. Obviously the rest of the Norwegian sleep in their caravan, but out of nowhere 3 Malaysians slept in their small Korean car hehe.

Our apartment is located in Underdal, small town near by with a population of 80 people and a small church that could only fit in 40 people at a time. Underdal is famous for its fjord and waterfalls and goat cheese. Yup, I tasted it. Strong taste with stronger after taste that comes later.

Enjoy the pictures as usual...

the drivers....magnificent view....breath taking...

our apartment is just beside the river.....

the only shop in underdal.....look at the scenery....need i say more???

the waterfall....the railway track of the the flåmbana....love this picture of me n my housemate....nice

ignore me in the picture...but look at the fjord behind me hehe....in the flåm museum....beautiful view from the top..

We went on the train to the top....went on the fjordsafari tour on a boat....and took lotsa pictures. I think all of us had fun. Too bad we didn't not have time to go kayakking and jungle hiking...We said goodbye to The Flåm at about noon and started our journey back home. The magnificent breath-taking scenery will forever remain in my mind and if you happen to be in Norway, this is a must place to go. :)

note: pictures courtesy of Anas, the photographer of the journey....thanks bing ;)

I bumped into this piece while blog-hopping. And I think it's so beautiful.

Because to the depths of me, I long to love one person,
With all my heart, my soul, my mind, my body...

Because I need a forever friend to trust with the intimacies of me,
Who won't hold them against me,
Who loves me when I'm unlikable,
Who sees the small child in me,
and Who looks for the divine potential of me...

Because I need to cuddle in the warmth of the night
With someone who thanks God for me,
With someone I feel blessed to hold...

Because marriage means opportunity
To grow in love in friendship...
Because marriage is a discipline
To be added to a list of achievements...

Because marriages do not fail, people fail
When they enter into marriage
Expecting another to make them whole...

Because, knowing this,I promise myself to take full responsibility
For my spiritual, mental and physical wholeness create me,
I take half of the responsibility for my marriage
Together we create our marriage...

Because of this understanding
The possibilities are limitless.

Mari Nichols-Haining
The possibilities are limitless indeed, I agree. I like this part :
Who loves me when I'm unlikable,
Who sees the small child in me,
note: zai is layaning the other side of her. the melodrama, sensitive, passionate side...haha...usually zai is not like this...honest...gosh...this does not make any sense does it.

Lazy Mode : On

My lazy mode has switched on. I'm in no mood to do anything including blogging though I have stories to share with you babes. I read the local (read: Malaysia) newspaper online and I must say....what the **** is going on over there back home. People accusing people, dad and son raping their own flesh and blood, I can go on and on and babble but I shouldn't. It's so frustrating to read the local news. Sigh...
On a different note....How's all my blogger friends and mommies? I do hope everyone is fineeeee and dandyyyyy...
My housemate has went back and she helped me bring back some of my stuff a.k.a Haziq's stuff. I bought lotsa clothes for Haziq, a pair of shoes, a hat, and toys. haha..I'm a sucker. Except for my new baby which I will introduce to you soon, I did not buy much for myself.
I'm counting my days here and obviously I can't wait to go back. I'm anticipating our family trip in mid August. Everything is settled, I'm just waiting for the hotel voucher from the agent. Hope everything goes well (Ameen) ;)
I talked to Haziq on the phone last night. We had a long conversation. Told him I'll be back soon to which he replied can't wait Ibu (in his own language of course haha). I am soooo missing that boy. I know no amount of presents will ever replace the time I missed being with him but I will my best to compensate it.
Haha..I think this post is going nowhere. Eh...Aussino is still having sale kan...kan...bestnyer.....Okla peeps...I gotta go. Take care :)

I can't wait for our family trip. I know we're gonna have lotsa fun. I can't wait to be reunited with you and our 'notty' little miracle.

Perfect Life?

Caution: This entry may be slightly self-aborbed. Please read at your own risk!

I was chatting with one of my bestfriend the other day. We were talking about life...decisions in life and how all this while my friends seem to think that I have a perfect life.

That had me thinking. Do I have a perfect life? Is there such thing like a 'perfect life'?

It's subjective don't you think.....but at the moment I do feel that I have a 'perfect life'. I have a bit of everything a person could ever want in life. And I am very thankful for all that. I could not ask for more.

I have a family of my own.

Hubby my pillar of strength.

I have Haziq.....a miracle in my life

We may not live in huge house but we have a comfy house where we hide out and escape from the outside world

We may not drive a 5 series BMW (yet!) but we have a car that takes us everywhere we need to go...

Our bank account may not come up to a 6 figure amount (yet!) but we have enough money to buy us stuffs that we need...

My parents who are always there for me

My two brothers who are very sporting & loving towards their only sister hehe...

My bestfriends....Han, Olyn, Nik, Parv, Loady & Nolin (though I haven't seen Nolin for quite sometime now heheh)...you guys are the best...

My blogger friends with whom I share information and stuffs.....especially on motherhood... this is where I learn a lot about life...about being just an ordinary human being....about the ups and downs in marriage....everything...

I have a career and I love what I'm doing now.....I may not be earning a five figure salary (yet!) but I'm happy with what I have now. I may not travel round the world and explore (though deep inside I regret not doing all that before I settled down)....but I'm happy with what I've achieved so far and hope that I can achieve more in the future Insya Allah.

We (read:hubby & I) may have our ups & downs in our lives but that is part and parcel of life and that's what makes us stronger. It may not be bed of roses all the time but we have promised to each other......no matter what we will try our best to over come any obstacles, Insya Allah. Hubby & I, we're a team.

And....ooo yeah...to answer a question that I know some may ponder....No...I don't regret settling down and start a family. My only regret is that I was not brave and bold enough to go out and see the world back then. Although I know Hubby never stops me from achieving my career dreams (if not I won't be here today kan kan) but I've set my priorities.

So there you go....to 'you'...yeah 'you'....do what you think is best for yourself. Don't let others influence your decision. You know that whatever your decision or your next step will be....I will always support you. And...life is never easy dear. When you have an easy life, you'll tend to take people or things for granted. But when you strive and work hard in your life, you'll appreciate things more. :)
