I Wonder

I read this just now.

And I can't help but wonder about those sufficient number of MPs who are willing to cross over as claimed by you know who.

Are they crossing over for the nation's sake. For free?Because they want to change the political scenario in Malaysia?

Or are they getting something out of the cross-over?

If its' for the former, then I have nothing to say.

But if it's for the latter.....

Then God help us all!!

Satu Hari....

saya nak mula memasak.

Saya bersuara "Haziq...what are you doing???"

Haziq pandang saya sambil tersengih....saya geram tapi tak jadi nak marah....

Saya pergi ke Haziq...amik lesung itu dan letakkan di dalam sinki di mana Haziq tidak boleh amik.

Saya beritau dia...ini bukan mainan okay...Ibu nak masak ni..plus this thing is dangerous...kot jatuh atas kaki Haziq kang cmner??? Haziq protes la ape lagi. Saya 'rasuah' dia dengan calciyum. Haziq gembira semula dan pergi ke ruang tamu menikmati snek baru dia itu.

Sigh....

pengajaran: jgn letak lesung batu dan biarkan anak anda di dapur lame2 sgt.kot dia pun nk masak sekali nanti hehe :P

Cerita Pasal Haziq

This blog was created so that I can jot down stories about my Haziq and also my life but somehow somewhere it got diverted. Not that I have nothing to blog about but there's so many things to tell I just don't know where to start. I'm gonna try start somewhere today.

Let's see....what's new about my boy. Haziq is now like a parrot and a sponge. He will repeat every single word I say to him, to his Ayah, to anyone. He does it quite well actually but of course a bit pelat. He learns fast anything that you teach him but as always it will depend on his mood. This I've learned to accept that at his age, staying 100% focus is not easy. So....I'm not gonna be a kiasu mommy and force him hehe..

He loves music a lot and would dance to any music that catches his ear including his Ayah's mobile ring tone. Usually during weekends we would both wake up early to watch Pingu. Haziq calls it 'Gu'. He likes the Transformers new advert and will follow the theme song and sing 'Mers' (Transformers).

He cannot stand being left alone in the living room to play by himself, while I cook in the kitchen. He will drag me to the living room to be beside him and give that kesian face, which makes it hard for me to prepare food for iftar everyday. It's a havoc I tell you in the evening. I have to be quick. Heat the pan....pour oil, Haziq comes in and drag me. I follow him and layan him for awhile to distract him. Then I rush back to put whatever I need to cook in the pan...stir...stir...Haziq is already at my legs begging me to 'tang' (dukung) him. So I carry him, bring him to the living room again...and the cycle repeats again until Hubby reach home. Hubby will resume entertaining him while I resume with my cooking. Phheewww....if I'm lucky Haziq will not come back to drag me but sometimes he wants me to be with him and his Ayah in the living room. Aiiiyyyooo......

I've been trying to potty train him during weekends. So far Alhamdulillah he knows when to tell me when he needs to pee but sometimes....haha...he just ehem ehem at any corner he feels comfortable. I try to take him to the toilet every half hour or so but sometimes I tend to forget. Never mind, I will have to try harder.' Small business' 40% trained, 'Big business' 0% trained. Haziq will only tell me he has defecated once he has finished, be it with or without his pampers. Sigh. Along way to go here. haha

His vocabs are getting wider now I think. He knows his body parts, well most of them la. I feel I am not giving him enough time to sit down and teach him. I only spend time with him few hours on weekdays in the evening and at night before he falls asleep (or I fall asleep first hihii). So that leaves me with weekends. I try to spend more time with him...talking, playing, bla bla...I try to talk to him as much as possible emphasizing on new words for him to learn. I hope this will work. Naaahh.. I don't mind at all of he's a bit behind from all those baby progress charts. I tell myself I should let him learn at his own pace so that learning will be fun for him. I don't want to have to force him so that I can tell people...Oooo Haziq can already read his ABC...Haziq can do this ...Haziq can do that....that would be so kiasu of me kan kan...of course I do blog about his progress here in this humble space of mine for my safe keeping and record and future reference :)

Ape lagi ni before I end this post haha.

Hhhmmmm...Haziq knows how to slip on his sandals, take it off, take off his pants. He has yet to learn putting on his pants. Along way to go with putting on his shirts.

He doesn't eat much which makes me a bit worried but Dr Ong said not to force him coz he will eat when he's hungry. So ok la then. Fine. He still drinks 8oz of his milk 4-5 times a day (ni satu hal..mahal sungguh susu dia skang nih. I insist we continue with this brand although the price has hiked up ridiculously...biar ler I cut down on other expenses rather than compromising what's best for Haziq...kan...kan. Lagipun dekat Giant the price is still ok compared to other supermarkets...ye betullll....)

I cannot make him put on his car seat safety belt properly. He will free both his hands himself and leave only the buckle securing his body. Aaarrggghhh...tension saya. So, I have to always be alert when in the car with him. Any idea how to make him not do that???? This is the same when it comes to sitting in his stroller. He wouldnt let us put on the harness but only the buckle securing his body. Sigh...

Tantrums??? Oooo..boy does has he tantrums. At times he can make me go bananas with his antics, at times he makes my heart melt. Tough job la weeeii being a mommy eh....but a lot of fun hehe.

I ym ed with my bestfriend's mommy last week, and she gave several tips on how to handle toddlers. She has successfully handled four mind. Hopefully I can implement some if not all of her tactics.

Ok...enough babbling from me as of this moment. Cuci mata la dgn gambar2 berikut ok. Toodles.

Do drop by and see for yourself. Too bad I don't have a daughter (yet)...hehe...if not....dah borong dah :)

Happy Engineer Month!!

To all my engineer friends.

Famous Engineers of our times:

Jack Welsh - former Chairman and CEO, General Electric Company, chemical engineer.

Amar Bose
- founder of the Bose Corp., former MIT electrical engineering professor, electrical engineer.

Neil Armstrong
- astronaut, aeronautical engineer.

Scott Adams
- cartoonist and creator of "Dilbert".

Rowan Atkinson -
British comedian, best known for his starring roles in the television series "Blackadder” and "Mr Bean”, and several films including Four Weddings And A Funeral. Atkinson attended first Manchester then Oxford University on an electrical engineering degree.

Alexander Graham Bell
, inventor of the telephone. He also worked in medical research and invented techniques for teaching speech to the deaf. In 1888 he founded the National Geographic Society.

World without engineers

But I seriously think engineers are paid peanuts...sigh (hihiiii....) : seperti nada tak bersyukur la plak kan...astaghfirullah...

Weird

this is definitely weird....

why???

because within this few weeks....i dreamt that i was pregnant.....TWICE!

i repeat...TWICE!

i remember vaguely in my dream i was super excited to feel the baby kicking inside my tummy.

Ooo TuhanKu....mainan tidur atau apakah ini? maybe syaitan yang mengganggu???eh...lupe basuh kaki and baca doa ker?

but i have to admit...as much as it was just a dream....best gak if it's true kan.

so here's what i intend to do.

  1. for the time being i'll just ignore the dream and continue with my life
  2. if...within this few weeks the dream comes back again, then i will have to seriously think about it
  3. or....hello zai.....jangan nak over....rilex la...it's just a dream

ok...maybe i got a bit paranoid. :p

ok la...nak citer tu jer.nanti i update if there is anything to update la...kalau takde then you'll know la kan... hehehe...nak wat laundry sat. toodles :)

Random Thoughts/Babblings/Grumblings

How's your Ramadhan so far?

Saya dah ponteng puasa 6 hari...huhu. In 2006 I managed to fast the whole month...preggie kan at that time. Bliss :)

It's been very tiring these few days. Is it the weather...or because I'm fasting or it's just the age factor? Beats me. I think it's the fasting month. Can't be the age factor coz I'm still young (at heart for sure!) .hehe.

This entry has no hala tujuan coz I just felt like babbling.

Been cooking everyday for iftar and now I'm out of ideas of what to cook. Any ideas guys? I already have a menu in mind for tonight. I'm preparing lamb chop, mashed potatoes and veges for iftar tonite. Yummy...Anyone know how to make good mint sauce. Still struggling to get it right. Don't know why can't get the same taste as Han's mommmy does it. Sigh.

This year Raya will be celebrated at IL's place first. Sedih. Well not really la. It's Hubbs turn this year to be with his family first. We take turns each year so i think its fair enough. Maybe on the evening of second raya or morning third raya we'll head for Ipoh. Can't wait for that.

I still haven't done any raya shopping. I need to buy something for my parents, ILs,my youngest brother, Haziq's babysitter and family and also for myself and Hubby. Probably Haziq will only need a new pair of shoes. He has bundles of new clothes that he has yet to wear which I got for him when I was in Norway. So that settles one thing. I just need a matching tudung to go with my baju kurung and a new telekung. Hubby needs....eeerrr...alamak. I can't remember what he said he needs. Goodness....pelupe nyer saya ini. Balik nanti have to ask him again.

Weird...this year I haven't tempah any kuih raya. Unlike when I was in previous co, awal puasa dah ada org amik tempahan for kuih raya. ahaha. I'm not making any if you're wondering. maybe one fine day when I have my dream kitchen I'll consider baking cookies myself, until then I'll just tunjuk with my jari which kuih raya I want.... :)

Everyone has watched SATC????Am I the only who has yet to enjoy the movie? Sangat ketinggalan saya ini. I think I may need to pay a visit to Digital Mall soon. Ooooo...I miss JB. I miss that shop I frequent quite often for my supplies of the latest (clearest!) DVDs. For RM5 each. And if you buy more than 5 I think, you get one FREE!. Best kan. I think I want to pujuk Hubby to drive down to JB after raya. Not only for the DVDs but also for.....makan-banyak-tk-ingat session. I want tauhu bakar, ikan bakar and lai chi kang panas at Dataran Johor, I want soto at Kg Pasir Puteh, I want Asam Pedas and nasi lemak kukus sedap and sotong goreng tepung at Senibung.Ni mengidam ke teringin ni??? Tah ler. Heaven nyer....harap2 Hubby bersetuju nanti :)

Pasar ramadhan kat maner yg best ek? Tak pernah went to any so far. Last year somehow Hubby likes to go to the one in PJ. Yang dekat dgn masjid tu. Section bape ek? Can't remember. This year Hubbs has somehow lost the interest to jalan-jalan carik makan for buka. That could in the end mean only one thing. Saya perlu la masak hahah. Hey...I am beginning to enjoy cooking. The things is it's not that I dont know how to cook. it's just I don't like to cook. I hate the preparing the ingredients part. Potong bawang la...siang ikan la..bla...bla...bla...the cooking part is fine. Campak ajer sume lam periuk/kuali. I also hate the kemas after masak part. Leceh tul Basuh itu...basuh ini...haha. Kan bagus kalau ada maid. Then she can do that all for me. It saves my time and energy. Haha. As much as I wish that we have a maid I am actually not ready to give up on our privacy. Not yet! I'm not ready yet to have a stranger living with us. Tapi tak tau la kan...if one day we change our minds....we'll see.

Eh...it's friday today...yeeeyyy. I have plans this weekend. Gonna visit a friend who just gave birth to her second daughter. Then gonna take Haziq for his haircut, then need to buy groceries, the gonna accompany Hubbs to visit his friend who is in ICU (scary ok!). We heard that he has some kind of infection in his body and now in coma. I was shocked upon hearing this coz I know this guy quite well even way back when Hubbs and I was still courting. Only we haven't met him for quite sometime. Please pray for him okay.

Woww...I can't believe I've written this much. I think if there's a device that can automatically transfer all my inner thoughts without having me to type it out using my cute long fingers(haha...pasan tahap gaban), you'd get a lengthy entry than this haha...

Toodles dearies...zai now has to resume with her work...aarrgghhh....kena ngadap lagi itu analysis ....somebody put a bullet in my head.... :p

Bali Trip

Hello peeps...this is the Bali entry that I promised quite sometime ago.

Phhheeewwww. 5 days and 4 nights there was heaven. I was very nervous prior to the trip coz it was the first time Haziq will travel by plane and I seriously do not know what to expect/anticipate from him. Although both Hubby and I have already foresee that we will not have any peace and quiet because the little tyke will surely want to move around. Yes. That's exactly what happened. Thank God that we took a seat for him instead of trying to save some moolah and make him seat on my or hubby's lap. Overall, Haziq was fairly behaved haha. He even made 'friends' with the Korean boy sitting behind us.

We left LCCT at about 11ish and reached Bali at 1440 hrs. Our tourist guide Pak Made was already waiting for us and from there we headed to Kintamani. We skipped the Kecak dance because I dont think it was a good idea as they start to perform at 6.30pm. We had an early dinner instead at Jimbaran. One word for Jimbaran : magnificent! Imagine having dinner by the beach and then watch the sun set. Bliss. We settled down for the night after that to rest and start our tour the next day. We stayed at Kuta Beach Resort and I think we made the right choice to stay here coz it's so convenient. It's walking distance to their famour Matahari Mall (the one that was damaged by that infamous bomb incident several years ago. Our tourist guide infact showed us the location where it happened. Takut gak ok). From our hotel we could also just walk to Kuta Beach, Hard Rock Cafe and lotsa branded shop outlet. I'll feast you with some of the pictures taken there as usual (from moi D80).

Hi ya all...this is my 1st air ride...yippieee... :)

Kintamani

Sunset at Jimbaran

One of the temples...hehe...I seriously cant remember which one :p

Sunset at Kuta Beach

Notice there's no pictures of sunrise but sunset here...hehe...bangun lmbt nak tgk sun rise ape nyer la kan. What can I say...I love Bali. The people are very friendly and nice. Other places that we managed to go was Tanah Lot, Bedegul, Nusa Dua Beach, and....eerrr...tk ingat. More pictures posted at mukabuku ok. What we bought??? I think we managed to buy quite a lot. T-shirts for the family, beaded slippers, keychains, ehem..ehem...something for myself, and all of us got something from Hard Rock too. Haziq got his first Hard Rock Tee...hehe...spoilt I know.

Food was splendid too. It was worth the value that we paid for the package. Eh...right nowI just feel like going there just for dinner at Jimbaran and then come back haha..

We're definitely coming back one day in the future. :)

To wrap up, all of us had a great time....just the 3 of us. I love going away with my boys. :)

Toodles peeps.

A Lovely Piece

This was in my mailbox this morning and I must share this with you all. I can't help but smile while reading this and it also brought tears to my eyes.

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you best.'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AG E - Well, she might know a little bit about it!

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Selamat Berpuasa!

...to all my friends.

Mintak mahap ye kalau ada tersalah dan silap....termakan dan minum..harap halalkan :)
Hope your Ramadhan this year will be a fulfilling one.

p/: I'm at work...it's only 10.15a.m and I can't open my eyes and it doesn't help that the air condition in this office is super duper cold. Can I get thru the day???will let you know...
