No...Work....Ayah.......

On Saturday as Hubby was about to leave house for work...

Me: Haziq cepat salam Ayah...Ayah is going to work...

Haziq quickly got up and salamed his Ayah.

Me: Ok Haziq...Ibu need to go to work too...bye..

Haziq: No!

Me: Why?

Haziq: Work...Ayah...

Hubs and I looked at each other. Hahaha....

He seems to think that only his Ayah can go to work nowadays. Sigh.

Well, today Haziq is 23 months old.

Happy 23rd Month Darling....
I've been hearing and reading people talking about the terrible two. Wonder how I am gonna face Haziq and his antics. We'll just have to take one step at a time I guess.

Oooo dear..I can't write long. I'm already sleepy. Shall update more when time permits or when I have the energy to. Take care everyone.

2009?

I hope it's still not too late to wish everyone Happy New Year. How was you New Year?

We spent the New Year at the hospital in the morning till noon. Haziq was not feeling well. He was purging. His usual paed is on leave till next week so we had to opt for the local GP near our house. But still the purging persist, Hubby and I decided to bring him to the hospital. the doctor said its viral infection. It's good that Haziq is letting them all out but it will take time to get better sigh. Ooo well....for someone who is not well Haziq sure look the opposite. He runs...jumps...hops...his hearts out.

So....it's 2009 already. Sigh. I was trying really hard to recap and flash back what 2008 meant for me. I must say 2008 was good to me. Infact 2008 was filled with lotsa love, laughter and happiness. Looking back I am quite proud of myself, with what I've achieved so far be it in my family life, career and other stuff too. 2008 saw me making new friends along the way and even lost few friends. Suffice to say, as I grow older I can see clearly who my reals friends are and who I should eliminate.

I left my family for whole 3 months in 2008 for the sake of my career. A decision that was not easy for me to make but Alhamdulillah I never regretted it. I believe that I should and deserve to have both, a family and a career.

In 2008 Haziq grew up to be one lil' witty toddler whom I adore so much. He makes me laugh, smile, cry, angry (when he buat perangai), and his presence in my life makes me feel a complete person.

Hubby and I, I think we learned more about each other as we go along. There were ups and downs but we survived. Alhamdullilah. I hope and pray we'll be a better team as we venture into 2009.

Work...what I can say. I'm happy with what I'm doing at the moment. The pay is good. Did I tell you I just started my new job 2 months back? Well that's a whole new story for another time aite...

My 2009 resolution? I don't have any. Maybe I'll think of something maybe I won't. But there are few things that I would like to see materialize this year. You'll find out as we stroll down the year each day okay... ;)

Ok peeps I gotta go. I have few pictures that I would like to post here. Will do so tonite after Haziq has gone to la-la land and if I am still awake by then...take care :)

Of This And That...

Haziq and I spent Christmas at home coz Hubby had some work to do. Bummer. Today Hubby and I took leave coz we needed to do some banking. Actually that's just an excuse for me. I just wanted to be away from the office for awhile hehe. Nonetheless I had everything done as I've listed before. Went to Maybank to open up SSPN account for Haziq, went to Nikon Center to upgrade firmware to my D80, went to pick-up my registered letter. Ppphheeewwww....but we didn't managed to drop by GE Mall to get Haziq's hair cut. Hope we could go there soon. Haziq is soooo serabai nowadays.

Later in the evening we took Haziq to Taman Jaya. The weather was all sunny it was a waste if we didn't take this opportunity to stay out. I think Haziq had fun running around and going down the slide. Then Hubby and I got bored of the place (haha selfish parents) and Hubby decided to take Haziq on a train ride. So off we went and rode the train from Tmn Jaya station to Kelana Jaya station and back. We got down at Asia Jaya. Lepak for awhile then headed back to Tmn Jaya. Haziq got all excited looking down from the train. He could see all this favorite things from up there...buses, cars, tractors, birds. One happy toddler we had there.

We then had our dinner at the OldTown White Coffee in PJ. It's our first time at this outlet and I must say we're sure to come there more often. I love it. It's not too crowded. Infact there were not many people Haziq could run around the place and I can have my dinner peacefully. The music they played was brilliant I found myself humming to almost all of them. I had my favorite Iceblended Hazelnut....yummeeehhh. After shoving all the food we headed home and Haziq fell asleep 10 minutes after we left. He must be so exhausted.

And now I am blogging, facebooking, and updating my flickr while Haziq is in the room sleeping, Hubby went out to meet his friends. Hhhhhmmmm...bliss.

I end my post with what else...some pictures ok....

please pay extra attention at the tshirt Haziq is wearing hahaha...self-absorbed kan...hahaha kasik chan la ok

im bored haha

while waiting for the train

Laaa...laaa..laaaaaaaa.....

My leave this friday has been approved. Yahhhoooooo..... Can't wait to spend 5 days with my family. I've asked (read: forced) Hubby to take leave as well. Hehe.... but actually we don't have any plans yet where to go. I probably want to run some errands that Friday. I need to go to Nikon Center to upgrade the firmware on my D80, then a visit to the bank to settle few things, Haziq needs a hairbut badly so we probably drop by GE Mall. I want to check out some thing at IKEA. Yiikkeessss so many things to do. I don't think I want to spend my leave hopping from one mall to another. Hhhhhmmm... I think we should take Haziq to the beach. That's a good idea.
Heh...it's only Monday morning and I am already imagining my break. My boss is not around today and tomorrow. Yippieeee....I can't proceed with my work coz I'm waiting for some info from the Designers. How la like this??
Gotta go....have a nice day peeps. Need to do some online banking...ciao.... ;)

I don't Have A Title

Haziq is already asleep, Hubby is still not home yet from his Penang trip, this could only mean that I have the laptop all to myself and no one (read: Haziq who always wants to sit on my lap when he sees me in front of the laptop) to disturb me. So, I thought I should put up an entry. The problem now, I don't know what to blog about. I don't have news to tell you guys. No exciting thing happened lately. Hehhh...what an interesting life I have huhhh....;p

Maybe I should just ramble for the sake of blogging hahaha. Yeah maybe I should. At random, I shall start to ramble....

Hhhhhmmmmm....

....a friend once told me that money is not everything but everything needs money. Till today it still lingers in the back of my mind although I've tried very hard not to give it a thought. Another blogger once wrote in her blog...money is not everything but it solves 99.9% of problems. I'm not sure about the 99.9% part but I kinda agree that it solves problems. People also say that money is one of many factors that can lead to divorce. It's all about money nowadays. Sometimes I find myself constantly worried whether I will have enough money in the future, whether I have enough money to buy what I want. I guess I just can't help it. Unlike others I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. So to me money is important. But then again that was not my parents taught me, They taught me that education is very important if I want to make sure I have a bright future. They were right alright (note: I have no idea where all this is leading to, seriously).

Crap, I guess my point is that...eerrr... I need more money??? hahaha...it will never be enough right? Oooo crap. Just bear with me okay. I think its the time of the month where I will layan my hormones and get all cranking...upset....for no reason. Give it few days and I'll be okay ;)

....Haziq's 2nd birthday will be in 2 months time and I'm thinking whether to have a party or not. If so, where should we have it. last year we had it at PIL's place. Don't think I want to have it there again this year. I'm thinking of having a small party with families and close friends. Heck...I even thought of just celebrating it with just the three of us having dinner. Hehe. I still have time to plan something. We'll see....

........I love to read....bought few books online, second hand books online as well and I think at the moment I have 4-5 books that I have not read. Just moments ago I was checking out more new books online. I wish I can buy all the ones that I've chose but my ooo my....where will I scoop the money to buy them huh? Sigh..

........I'm thinking of buying Haziq his own table where he can play with his toys, doodle when he wants to, maybe I can start letting him experiment with colors. At the moment Haziq likes to play his car in front of the TV cabinet. Yup. And it is driving us crazy. He just refuse to play them else where. Now where can I get an activity table for a toddler? Anyone??

Ooooppsss....I have to go. Hubs is back....wooohhhoooo...toodles peeps. Take care.

Haziq at 22 Months Old

Haziq turned 22 months old last Saturday. I did not forget, I was just caught up in so many things. Hehe. But seriously. I was a bit busy.

So....Happy 22 months old darlinnngggg....ibu and ayah love you sooooo much. May you grow up to be a wonderful, responsible, charming person. And oooo...please...please don't make engineering as your profession okay.....

Updates on him? Let's see...

......very much independent now. He wants to do everything on his own. He even wants to carry our groceries bags. Yes,very helpful. Hopefully he continue to do so till he grows older when I no longer have the energy to carry those heavy bags.

....vocab wise....he has learned a lot of new words. English and Malay. English mostly from me ( ye la....mak pasan mat salleh...nak anak terer English padahal mak English terabur...ye sila la gelak guling2 tp thats normal kan...kan...ngaku jer la hehehe).

....still won't eat much...drinks milk a lot...loves his aewet(carrot)....loves vitagen....hates rice...which I think is kinda good hahaha. He loves grapes, banana and all sorts of keropok.

.....still into cars...tractors....train....opter(helicopter), opane (aeroplane)...pelat betul anak saya ni hahaha...if we walk around in malls and bump into those shops that sell all the remote control car...helicopter....Haziq will make us squat down with him admiring them. Serious. 10 shops...means 10 times la you have squat down for at least 10 minutes not less. And sometimes he won't budge we have to eeerrrr....lie a bit to him. Not good but no choice.

.....80% diaperless during weekends....he only wears his diapers at night...hoooraaayyy....minus one or two incidents...he can now tell me when he needs to pee and do his business....but still you know la...hehehe....

......adores his ayah still sooooooo muchhh makes me merajuk at times....uuuhhhuuuukkk....

.....wont wear any shoes or sandals I bought him except for the imitation crocs his ayah bought him when I was away. Sigh...I had to hide that sandal just to make sure he wears proper shoes to a wedding...I had to...really....

......loves to 'help' me hang clothes and then play with the empty pail...

......still giving me a hard time when its time to brush his teeth....aarrrgggghhhh....he would rather golekkan his body on the floor ok...very drama this boy of mine.

.......still...still....won't sleep thru the nite....waaaaaaa.....sabar2...

.......he doesn't mind sharing his food with you even when you don't ask him but he would never share his pillow with you. Weird kan. If there's two pillows there he will want both and won't let you have one at all no matter what.

Guess that's about it la....that precious boy of ours. In 2 months time he'll be 2 years old. Hard to believe eh...When he was tiny...helpless...couldn't move on his own...I wish he'd grow up faster. Now that he's almost 2 years old....sob...sob...I wish he'd stop growing for awhile and let me enjoy these moments. (eh...bergenang plak mata ku ini...d**n it)

As usual...some pictures la kan...pictures taken at McD, Ampang Park. We had breakfast with one of Haziq's fairy God Mother, Miss Olyn.

look closer you'll see the bus is short of one tire...haziq's doing la tuh sigh

still won't let go of his bus

insisted that he go down the slide with his bus....and then pose...chewah...dh pandai

Thomas....Ooooo...Thomas....

I think I'v
e been watching too much of Thomas & Friends lately that I find myself humming to the theme song every now and then thanks to Haziq (ooo and I'm this close to memorising the whole song too) . He now wants to watch Thomas & Friends 24-7. If there's no Thomas & Friends showing, Bob The Builder will do. He loves Scoop the tractor, "atte" is how he says it. Barney? Nope...Pocoyo? Nope. He's not all fascinated with the latter. Sesame Street, yes. The movie The Cars, a big yes. He can sit there for a long time with jaw drop watching The Cars. He pronounce it "tar". I told Hubby we need to get the DVD because Haziq gets upset when they stop for a commercial break in the middle of The Car. Duuhhhh...

Down The Memory Lane?

I was blog-hopping just now and bumped into a blog where the owner was telling the stories of her school teachers. The ones that she still remember till today. Then it got me trying to recollect most if not all of my school days memories.

let's see..

I remember my Maths teacher in Standard 2 (I think) who was so fierce that she likes to throw our buku latihan out of the classroom. I can't really remember whether my book was also one of the many books that got thrown or not but I remember books flying here and there. Heh!

Then in Standard 4 I remember my class teacher, Puan Zarilah. A very pretty lady, softspoken and has a handwriting that makes you feel yours is like cakar ayam. So much that she wants her students to follow her footsteps in writing nicely that she made us do cursive (ok..cmner spelling ni???) almost everyday. Heh. Thanks to her I today I have a nice handwriting but it depends on my mood. Cik gu Zarilah..I *heart* you.

In the same year there was a cikgu latihan name Cikgu Azran who became more like an Abang to us (read: me and my friends). He loves to create nice bookmarks and give them to his students. We were so close back then that on Saturdays for our Ko-ko he would cycle to school with us. And yours trully membonceng his bicycle coz I was the only one yg tkd beskal. Huhu. I told u you we were close. I also remember playing lompat getah in class and he played too. haha.. His last day at the scholl saw most of us cried buckets. Sedih not knowing when will we ever meet him again. We never did. Cikgu Azran, if you happen to read this (maner la tau kan)....We all *heart* you.

My Standard 5 class teacher was Puan Arpah. Garang. She once slapped a student in front of the whole class coz he marked his own buku latihan. Scary kan.

In Standard 6, my class teacher was En Zul Safaruddin. One funny chap who always crack jokes. I met him at the Post Office few years back. He did remember me. What I remember most of him was the day that he went to collect our UPSR results. My friends and I rushed when we saw him at the parking and he immediately extended his hand to me. I think he said "Tahniah" or something like that. :)

My highschool years were somehow vague...dunno why.

But I do remember my Form 3 Geography teacher, Hajah Abidah, who likes to make all of us stand in the class and she will ask questions base from what she has taught us. Sitting behind in the class makes is harder for her to see me angkat tangan wanting to answer her questions. So I end up sitting without answering any question and that explains why I got B for Geography.

I also remember my Form 3 class teacher Puan Faridah, who dislikes me coz I don't like to attend her class and always find excuses to masuk her class lambat hehe. She taught us Kemahiran Hidup (zzz..zzzz..zz). She always gave me this 'i-know-you-won't-be-successful' look that few months back I think I told my high school partner in crime friend Nana that I wish I could now find her and tell her who I am now (not that I'm so blarrddyy successful pun skang) but nevertheless jadi pun orang. Heh. But Nana said....tak yah la zai...yang lepas tu lepas la...hahaha....ok2 aku tk hold grudge dah. aku geram jer la :p

In Form 4 my class teacher was and Indian lady who is nice but certainly has no sense of fashion at all. Seriously. She would wear this knee length dress that looked like its been worn for ages. Greyish dull color and also with a red hairband and...and flat sandals. But she's nice.

Our Modern Maths teacher is a pretty chinese lady who likes to end her sentence with "Boleh?".

There was also this Counselling teacher who loves to do sportcheck and find students fault. I can't seem to remember her name.Yes. She's very garang. Rumors has it she's like that because she's not married yet even at the age. haha. You know la how stories like this can be so juicy especially in an all-girls school.

In Form 5, I remember our PE teacher Puan Zora, who is so petite and cute. A good dancer. In fact she taught us a couple of ballroom dances which I cannot remember at all now. But I do remember her saying the whole class are like kayu. Not graceful at all haha. Guess she was right.

Then there's Puan Ong (I think) who taught History. She was so committed in teaching the class that she made us underline important points in the textbook, that is after she asked permission from the Headmistress for us to do such. And thanks to her I got A1 for my History heh.

So there...do you have any stories about your teachers?

Detox ....Detox....Detox

Remember in one of my previous post I mentioned I wanted to detoxify my not-so-hot body? :p

Well I found this while surfing and thought I should share them with you. This is ways to help detoxify your body after you go through a detoxification program, which I have yet to do proper research.

But first how or when do you know your body needs to be detoxified? Some of the symptoms that we need to look out are
unexplained fatigue, sluggish elimination, irritated skin, allergies or low-grade infections; bags under the eyes; a distended stomach even if the rest of your body is thin; menstrual difficulties; or mental confusion ( I like this one....haha. I think I'm still far from that symptom...touch wood).

See any of those symptoms on you? No? Yes? Read on.

10 Ways to Help Your Body Detoxify

After a detoxification program, you can cleanse your body daily through diet, supplements and lifestyle practices.

1. Eat plenty of fiber, including brown rice and organically-grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Beets, radishes, artichokes, cabbage, broccoli, spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed are excellent detoxifying foods. - ok this one I think I can try

2. Cleanse and protect the liver by taking herbs such as dandelion root, burdock and milk thistle, and drinking green tea. - a visit to the local pharmacy will do

3. Take vitamin C, which helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins. - ok no problemo

4. Drink at least 2 quarts of water daily. - check

5. Breathe deeply to allow oxygen to circulate more completely through your system. - eerrr...check?

6. Transform stress by emphasizing positive emotions. - i'm trying...i'm trying ok

7. Practice hydrotherapy by taking a very hot shower for five minutes, allowing the water to run on your back. Follow with cold water for 30 seconds. Do this three times, and then get into bed for 30 minutes. - must try today

8. Sweat in a sauna so your body can eliminate wastes through perspiration. - eerrr....have to make appointment with Energy Spa soon? hehehe

9. Dry-brush your skin or try detoxifying patches or detox foot spas / foot baths to remove toxins through your pores. Special brushes are available at natural products stores. - need to do more survey on this

10. What is the most important way to detoxify? Exercise,Yoga or jump-roping are good. One hour every day. Also try qigong, a martial-arts based exercise system that includes exercises specifically for detoxifying or cleansing, as well as many other exercises with specific health benefits. - yoga? then I have to join the famous yoga instructor class I guess hehe. Oooo I do have the skipping rope at home. Shall start with that today!

You can read more here.

Now I need to do a little bit more study on the best detox program I should follow..modern method or traditional method. Fasting too is another method to detoxify your body (thanks Haris for pointing out). Shall get back to you soon okay. Now please excuse me, I need to 'detoxify' my tummy. Hehe. Toodles. ;)

Cleansing Your Body...

good,no?

I think I need to detoxify my body. It's so full of toxin thanks to all the raya food I've consumed and not forgetting all the coffee I've been drinking at the office and at home. Sigh. Oooo...don't leave out the nasi lemak for breakfast I have almost everyday on weekdays. Gosh. And I complaint to Hubby that I feel heavier.Heh!

Now...now..when should I start? How should I start? Is there anyone out there who wants to join me? Do let me know okay. Until then I'll just try to minimise my food in-take,okay?

Ciao lurve...

Another Zai's Random Thoughts...

after midnight i shall kidnap you
and i'll keep you in my room
hush now my love and hold my hand
after midnight i shall take
you to a place where no one else should know of
hush now my love and hold my hand
(yuna - after midnight)

I feel like rambling and ranting and babbling for no apparent reason today.

I'm happy but at the same time a bit disturbed and upset about something.

I'm happy I have resolved some issues with this one person that I really care about and plays an important role in my life.

I'm happy that I am about to embark on yet another new journey soon.

On a different note altogether, I was chatting with a good friend few days back. She was telling me about her work arrangement with her husband and then she said to me "Zai...money is not everything...but everything needs money" Haha...indeed she was right. You can say you don't need a lot of money but the cold hard fact is that everything around you requires money. Everything.

During raya my lil' SIL asked me "Akak...biler yang nombor dua???" Heh...soalan cepu emas tu dik oooiiii (cakap dalam hati jer la). I managed a smile though. Hubby has been teaching Haziq to call himself Abang. Ewah...ewahh...And i've been teaching Haziq to say "No" when people ask him nak adik tak. Haha...bad parents I know.

Can somebody please tell me the secret to being fit all the time. Here's the thing. I get tired easily la nowadays. No exercise is the main reason I think or is it age? My only exercise is the walk to Hubby's office everyday after work but since it rains most of the days lately I take the monorail. I play 'kejar-kejar' with Haziq, I make him jump with me in front of the TV everyday. Oooo..btw Haziq can now jump on one spot (thanks to me haha) though not so high la but its hilarious how he will stop whatever he was doing and concentrate to jump. Lawak. Been wanting to capture it on video. Nanti la. A lot of Haziq's antic have yet to be captured in video. Lazy. Aiyyoo... I wanted this entry to be about myself nothing else...tengok...ada gak terselit citer si bam bam... :p

I have yet the time to explore my D80. Sigh. I would say till today I've only used about 30% of the application. Yes. A lot more to learn and explore. Been reading the digital photography school online and picked up few tips but again have yet to apply them. Heh! Ape ni. Im hoping my outing trip this weekend will materialise (fingers and toes crossed!) then I can snap snap...all day long.

My hands are itching to do some online shopping but so far I have managed to refrain myself. Nothing grand item in particular but still itching. Haha.

I'm still hoping that one of these days this baby will be mine. It's a Mitsubishi Lancer GTS 2008.

But If I can't have her I will be happy as well if I can drive her-number-two
.
Honda Civic 1.8 with the exact color.

However, if we (read: hubby and I ) decide to have a big family then we'll need prolly this.

Though I personally like the previous model which I feel is more spacious and looks more like an MPV. Oo well...it doesn't hurt to dream right, so I'm gonna continue dreaming hehe.

Ok what else...I guess that wraps up my rambling for the day. Again today I would like remind my stubborn self don't always look-up but always look-down. Then I will always be grateful with what I have. Iiissshhh...Why do I always tend to forget this?? :(

Hero's Welcome After Somalia Mission?

Read more about it here.

Actually that's not why I am writing this entry. The main reason is the amphibious assault vessel KD Sri Inderapura used to escort the two MISC tankers back safely. Kd Sri Inderapura was badly burnt down few years back. The whole superstructure had to be rebuilt. I was working for P***D back in 2004 in Lumut when my ex-boss assigned me to join the design team.
So when I saw the vessel on TV last night, I couldn't help but felt a tiny bit of proud that I was part of the big team that helped rebuilt the vessel. It was a valuable experience having to deal with RMN (Royal Malaysian Navy), the fabricators . It was not easy I must say but it was altoghether fun and I know I can never get that kind of experience else where. The design team was superb, the travelling up and down to Penang every week was unforgettable and the knowledge I gained from the project was somehow what got me where I am today. Heh. (very sentimental la plak kan).
Too bad I was not there when it was delivered to the client because I left the Co and joined M**C. But fate somehow acts in a funny way. I was in Pasir Gudang attached to another project in M**E when the vessel was brought in for a shiplift. Heh. I 'met' the huge vessel again, only I regret I didn't try to ask permission to go onboard. Malas nak jumpe the MEO (Marine Engineering Officer)...so kerek one...huhu. And today the vessel bravely cuts through the sea and escort the two tankers back home safely. :)

Yippie....

I finally got my hands on Yuna's EP cd. Heh. I missed the launching but fortunately my best buddy Loth went and she managed to get it for me. Thanks dear muaaahhh...Don't you think the cover is very artistic? Nice huh....

In it there are 5 songs altogether : Backpacking around Europe, After Midnight, Dan Sebenarnya, Blue Sands and Deeper Conversation. My personal fav, Rocket is not in this cd uhuukk..guess I have to continue listening at her myspace.

Ooooo...if you're wondering who I'm talking about.....check-out here to listen to Yuna. A talented indie artist with a lovely voice and a huge talent in song writing. Seriously. I'm not really a fan of the local singing industry but this girl...she's something.

Ok now...I wanna listen to Yuna peeps....toodles :)
